Basement Fire - Diamond Hawk Golf Course - Feb 08

Full Company Response

Mutual Aid from Forks FAST Team

Just before the clubhouse/pro shop was closed for the night, the fire alarm was activated. Employees telephoned dispatch, reporting the smell of smoke on the main floor and then smoke in the basement.

Upon arrival of first chief, smoke was showing from an overhead loading dock door, leading to the basement. Crews stretched in an attack line, searching for the source of the smoke. Crews found a smoldering fire in a dryer unit, which had started to free burn, setting off the sprinkler system.
